Willow al'Meana is an Andoran Accepted of the Grey Tower.

Description

Willow is around 5 foot 5 and neither slim nor fat. She has pale yet slightly tanned skin, long waist-length reddish-brown hair that is always tied back in a braid, and rather strong brown-green eyes. Despite the shape and lay-out of her face making her look much younger than she is all it takes is one simple look into her eyes to tell that she has courage and wisdom beyond her years. She's rather intelligent and doesn't like to see things go wrong. Some may call her a perfectionist, but she sees it as more one seeking the best outcome possible. She has a habbit of twirling her slighly side-parted bangs between her fingers. She does this when she's trying to hide something and failing. This could be anything from something she's thinking about to an emotion she doesn't want shown.

Biography

Willow is the only daughter of Lynne and Cameron, a small family of cattle farmers just outside of Two Rivers. Lynne is also an active member of the Women's Circle within Two Rivers. When Willow was a small child she used to follow her mother around like a shadow. She questioned everything and always seemed willing to point our her ideas on how things should be done.

By the time she was fourteen she was a member of the Women's Circle, her hair braded proudly over her shoulder. She was also spending much more time around the Wisdom who told her she had the ability to become one. This excited Willow and also made her wonder a little.

Shortly after she turned fifteen Willow began to channel the One Power. She was unaware of what she was doing at the time and she was quite frightened when a bale of hay caught fire in the barn one day while she was arguing with her father. The Wisdom was not surprised when Willow told her about it that evening. "Child," She began, the way the woman used the word always stabbed at Willow. "It seems to me that you contain the spark. You have channeled the One Power and I am going to speak to the Women's Circle about getting you an escort to Tar Valon."

Willow was shocked at this. Long had she heard of Tar Valon and the many Aes Sedai within its White Tower, but never had she thought she would be heading there. Especially not for training! Try as she might, Willow was unable to use the One Power at will. She wanted to prove she could do it, she wanted to try and control it, but to no avail. At mention of this the Wisdom told her to stop trying to force it and leave the One Power alone. At the mention of the great risk of killing herself, Willow quickly stopped trying to channel.

Just as the snow began to thaw, Willow was escorted by one of the young men in the village, William, to Tar Valon. Along their way there they ran into a little trouble with a small group of White Cloaks who had been travelling along the road. They stopped and questioned them. In her fear, Willow felt strange. More filled with life and more aware of her surroundings, and then in happened. Fire seemed to errupt for no where, harming the Children of the Light.

William, gaining courage from the sudden and uncontrolled outburst from Willow, stepped in and began to fight with his sword. The battle ended quickly, with the Children fleeing. William, seeing Willow's sudden exhaustion, decided to set up camp for the night so that both he and Willow could rest for the night. Willow insisted that they keep moving, but was unable to put up much of a fight. She was much too tired.

Just as they finished setting up camp they were approached by a woman. Willow got a strange feeling from the woman but couldn't figure out what it was. She introduced herself as Larellia Sedai. Larellia told them of a place where Aes Sedai and Asha'man worked in harmony known as the Grey Tower. She said that it was better than the White Tower and it's forbidance on male channelers. Willow liked this idea of working with male and female channelers and William happily agreed. They decided to go with the Aes Sedai to begin a different life in the Grey Tower.

Just as the sun reached its highest point, around mid-day, the party arrived at the Grey Tower in the Mountains of Mist and Willow and William towards their new lives.
