Tamora el'Galina is a Mayener Green Oathsworn Aes Sedai of the Grey Tower.

Description

Tamora stands at 5 feet 5 inches high. She has quite a curvy form, which she works at to keep as trim as possible. She has dark blue eyes, which hold flecks of green. Her chocolate coloured hair hangs down to the middle of her back, and has a natural wave to it. Her skin has a golden tan to it, which darkens with exposure to the sun in the summer months. She has a small white scar which runs along the left side of her neck, starting just under her ear, and ending 4 inches down towards her throat. She always carries a silver and pearl hilted dagger, which is tucked into her right boot or tucked in her skirts, and a small piece of orange coral, shaped into a heart, on a silver chain. She prefers to wear darker shades of colours, in usually a figure hugging form.

Personality

Tamora is proud of her home and her family status, though she has been taught when being humble is appropriate. She prefers to listen to others, rather than talk, as she knows the advantage of learning new information. She likes to meet new people, and likes to make new friends, knowing the advantages they bring. Once she has a new friend, she is fiercly loyal, and will go to any lengths to help them out. She has a trickster side, but knows there is a time and place for that kind of thing. She has moments of deep sorrow, and often draws into her self at these times. She has a feirce side that she has to keep under control, and feels the need to protect others, and herself at any cost.

Biography

Tamora was born to Lady Bernedetta el'Galina, one of the few High Ladies of Mayene. Her father, Lord Axander el'Galina, died when she was a babe, in a scuffle with some Tear Lords. Her mother inheritited a profitable Fish Oil company from her father, which aided her securing the highly sought after title of High Lady, and freind to the First.

As by tradition, Tamora was expected to learn all she could about the business, which included the secret location of their families Fish Oil source, and recieve a high level of education, including langugaes, history, and polotics. She was also taught the basics of self defence, as all nobles in Mayene are taught, aswell as having her own body guards.

Her life was the average life of any Mayene noble, she was also taught how to be a able person on board a ship, which earned the respect of the family business workers. When she turned 14 summers, it was announced that she was to be betroved to another Lords son, Aran Zirkin. The idea of that was not unwelcome to either of them, as they had had feelings for each others for a long time.

One evening, after Tamora and Aran had been out to a fine dinner, he was escorting her home, when they were set apon by a bunch of pirates in the pay of a Tear trader. Aran was killed in protecting Tamora, and she was taken, though she did manage to kill one of the pirates before she was. Blindfolded, gaged, and hands tied, she was thrown into the back of a cart, and was taken out of the City.

She was questioned about the location of her families Fish Oil source, but she defied them, refusing to hand over the answer. She was beaten, and ransom notes were sent to her Mother, each of which held splatters of blood, or strands of hair that had been ripped from her head.

Finally, after a torturous 3 weeks, Tamora was rescued by a mixture of her families and city guards. But in the rescue, one of the pirates tried to cut her throat, but only got the knife half way across, when he was killed by a guard. One of the guards was a healer, and managed to stop the blood, but it left Tamora in a bad state. She asked the guard to give her the knife that the pirate had used to try and kill her, a silver and pearl hilted dagger, which she kept on her from that day onwards. Tamora was bed ridden for many months after her ordeal, both with weakness and grief for Aran, who she found out after she was rescued, had died the night she was taken.

When her Mother learned there was an Aes Sedai in the City, she sent a message to her and asked that she come and help Tamora heal. The Aes Sedai, Emilya Sedai of the Yellow Ajah, came and helped Tamora's physical strength, and while she did, she informed Tamora that she held the spark, a potential to be acomplished in the Power, and that she would be travelling to Tar Valon with her in a months time.

Proud, Tamora's Mother gave her blessing for her daughter to go, and within the month, she remarried a lesser Lord, in hope to have another child. Two days after the wedding, Tamora left Mayene in the company of Emilya Sedai for her new life in the Grey Tower. A new life, and a new beginning!
