Sabrielle Rasiev is a Arafellin Novice of the Grey Tower.
Description
Sabrielle Rasiev stands at 5'6", shorter than her twin brother, Zavian Rasiev. Her long hair could almost pass for brown, but streaks of blonde peeked through now and then. It was straight, and reached far down her back. Two thin braids framed her face, one on each side. Tiny bells were woven in, and they jingled as she walked.
Barely twenty years of age Sabrielle looked much younger than her twin. Her blue eyes held a tint of green, and like her brother, she too, often frowned in irritation or wrinkled her nose at something she disliked.
Biography
She grew up in a life filled with various luxuries as almost the youngest child in a large House with a great deal of power. There were many Houses of greater power, but House Rasiev was no where near the bottom. The Arafellin family was quite large. Their elder brothers and sisters were so numerous, that Sabrielle often felt she had more than one mother and father growing up.
Education was one of the highest priorities in their upbringing. Sabrielle was taught to read and write early on. She also learned a great deal of history and was taught the value of knowledge. "Wits win the battle," her father often said. Wits were something he insisted Sabrielle prove she had before he taught her to defend herself with her knife.
House Rasiev was always full of commotion and excitement due to the large family, but one day the everyday bustle seemed about to burst with the arrival of a delegation from the Grey Tower. White Tower Sisters had visited often, streaming in and out of the Borderlands as well as visitors from the Grey Tower. This time, the delegation arrived with much more pompous than usual. There were several Aes Sedai and Asha'man and the Amyrlin Seat herself! Sabrielle was in awe of these men and women with such great power. Their father spent a great deal of time talking, and she yearned to discover just what they discussed.
It soon became apparent. House Rasiev would send all of its descendants to train at the Grey Tower who tested for the ability and had it. Some might even go just to train in weapons and fighting.
When it came time, Zavian and Sabrielle with all their brothers and sisters were tested. A smile formed on the Asha'man and Aes Sedai's faces when it was certain the two of them could learn to channel. Sabrielle looked upon Zavian with a tinge of fear. Didn't men who channel go mad? Before she could voice her fears, the Aes Sedai and Asha'man calmed them. Saidin was clean.
The twins were soon packed and on their way to the Mountains of Mist, the home of the Grey Tower. Sabrielle felt uncertain about the future as the Aes Sedai explained the training they would go through. It seemed so harsh and she was appalled to learn that anyone, commoner or noble could train and that they all trained together as equals. Would they expect her to scrub and clean as a commoner too? Would she and Zavian succeed and become Aes Sedai and Asha'man? Would they make their House proud?
