Rehanne Malfarr is a Domani Novice of the Grey Tower.

Description

Rehanne stands at 5'6"and weighs in at about 140 pounds. Like most Domani, her skin is copper. She has straight, chestnut brown hair that reaches half-way down her back. Her large, light golden brown eyes with their long, curled eyelashes never miss a detail. Her plump lips are either found pursed in a seductive smile or a petulant pout. She easily feigns naivety and appears to hold a youthful innocence.

Biography

Sitting atop her razor, Rehanne Malfarr stared off into the horizon. The golden sun glittered against the bright blue sky and streaks of red, purple and yellow were beginning to rise as the sun sank slowly. She and her family had traveled for weeks now, fleeing her homeland, Arad Doman. Thousands of Aiel roamed the countryside and the Council of Merchants were missing. Chaos ruled the land and the threat of the Seanchan had forced everyone who could not fight to find refuge.

Her father, Lorras, fought with the army in its vain attempts to protect their lands. Rehanne accompanied her mother, Marasa and her siblings. She, being the eldest at 15, carried more responsibility than she should have to bear. Her little sister, Kirana, sat with her. She, at the moment, was leaning forward in the saddle, tracing the distinct lines separating the black hair from the white hair on their horse.

"Sit tall," Marasa corrected gently. "We've all been riding hard, but that is no reason to slouch. You are too pretty to slouch."

Kirana obediently sat tall in her saddle, batting her eyelashes with a small smile. She may only be 6, but she learned quickly. Rehanne leaned in and kissed her little sister.

"The village is not far from here. We will find shelter there and advice from the Aes Sedai in the Grey Tower," Marasa encouraged.

They picked their way carefully through the forest that covered the Mountains of Mist. The Grey Tower loomed in the distance. Rumor had it they were well protected from the Seanchan and the Aiel did not come here. Rehanne would just be glad to have a place to rest.

They reached the little town, Elman's Creek just before the sun set. The Malfarr family quickly paid for rooms at the inn and settled down to a warm meal in the common room. When they finished, Marasa reached across the table and took Rehanne's hands.

"Rehanne, darling, I want you to go the Grey Tower in the morning and get tested."

Rehanne blinked in surprise. The thought that she might be able to channel had never occurred to her. Her plump lips quickly formed a slight pout and drew back. "Isn't my place here with you?"

Marasa sighed, daintily wiping her mouth. She tilted her head to the side, her dark eyes piercing Rehanne. "Nobility we are, but even we will run out of gold this far from our estate. It will not be easy for us to survive here until the lands are secured enough for our return. If you can join the ranks at the Grey Tower, I will not have to worry about whether you have food or clothing. You must go and in the Light I hope they find the ability in you."

"Seems like a long shot, Mother." Rehanne replied hastily. She did not want to be separated from her siblings. She glanced at Kirana.

"My sister is an Aes Sedai. She went to serve in the White Tower." Marasa explained. "I could send you there."

Rehanne's eyes widened. Now that was far away! "I will go and get tested at the Grey Tower, as you wish," she consented quickly.

Unhappily, she left behind her razor, as her mother needed him more than she and walked the short distance to the Grey Tower. Marasa received her wish and Rehanne was found to have the ability to learn to channel. Reluctantly, Rehanne signed her name into the Novice book.
