Oshari is a Shienaran Indigo Oathsworn Aes Sedai of the Grey Tower.

Description

Small and fragile, there is little that suggests Oshari is, indeed, alive. She speaks little and when she does her voice is hoarse, as if she is not used to making sounds. She stand 5'1" tall, jet-black hair falls to the small of her back in a sleek wave. Her eyes, set in a too-pale face, are cornflower blue and a bit too large for a 15-year-old girl. Her lips are a pale shade of pink, contrasting minutely with the delicate heart-shape of her face.

Biography

I am Oshari, and this is my room. I know it is not much to look at merely a closet, deprived of even the smallest window, permeated by the scent of damp cloth. But it is mine, I can say that at least, and it is safe. You can tell it is safe by the blue glow around the edges ö it is the safe colour, and it will warn us in red if anyone comes near to spy on us. Because they do spy on us, did you ever notice? They say they don't, but in their eyes you can just see it. It makes me afraid sometimes, and I cannot sleep unless the room is blue, like it is now.

Although there are only candles here, I know it is evening. It has been a long day outside, now that it is summer and the light-time is longer. We may be glad that they don't dare to leave us out there when the sun has gone away, don't you agree? I am not afraid of what lurks there, on that place of peace, between the flowers, when the world is clad in darkness. I think it is good to be in darkness. We cannot be seen, in darkness. After all our trials and hardships, we may be glad of our job on the cemetary, although we do hard work, make long days.

I am Oshari and I was born in Shienar. You can tell by the colour of my eyes, by the jet-black gleam of my hair. At least, when they allow me to wash it. It is ashen now, the shade of a ghost, like they want me to be. Silent as a mouse, invisible as a shadow, they will indulge my presence on their war-cemetary. It is warm in here, but not as warm as outside. There are seasons here, yet we can never see the sun. I think they hide it from us, because they are afraid of it. But you know what? I don't miss the sun, not while I can call upon it myself. The sun is not in the sky, but it is inside of me. Hold me, so it may shine on you too...

They say I gave the wrong answer, and that's why we have to be here. I can't remember them asking me anything, but when I say so they only laugh, with those long, snake-like faces of theirs, and they make me frightened so I turn away, to you. You are always here for me, when the warmth of our sun is obscured by their chill. That's the bargain we made. They say that one day they will ask me again, as was their bargain, and that they know that once again I will not know the answer.

But I will. With your help, I will know their answer and I will return to Shienar.

Watch out, the blue has gone red. They will come, and they will need us for something. They always need us when they come after dark. Again we see you, and again we ask. Ten years and ten, your true form frozen, your sanity ours until the right word is spoken. Your folly, you will pay for in full. Who are you, Oshari?

They need my answer now, so you will have to help me. Have we been here for ten years already? It seems only yesterday that I... I was home. I wonder, if I speak the wrong answer, will we have to remain here for ten more years? I don't think I can do it. But if I don't remember, ah, what would it matter?

Who are you, Oshari?

Ah, what answer can I give? They will find me wrong, and they will keep us here, until the end of time... Are we not truly doomed?

Who are you, Oshari? I am dead.

OOC- Oshari was trapped in a ter'angreal when she was a child of five years old. Little is known of the circumstances under which her accident happened, nor does anyone remember her. She was trapped inside a puzzle she had to solve, facing ten years of captivity without aging for each wrong answer. It would not be surprising if her mental stability has been lost since her first trial decade ö little is left of the Shienaran girl except for long, raven-black hair and ice-blue eyes set in a porcelain face.

Upon giving her captors the right answer, Oshari was shown to a door that opened into a dusty vault, deep in the basements of the Grey Tower among numerous unstudied ter'angreal.
