Luna Chislen is a Kandori Novice of the Grey Tower.

Description

Luna is tall, like most Kandori (standing at around 5'9), with long, brownish-blonde hair and blue eyes. She is on the scrawny side, but not due to a dislike of food or hard work. She has a scar from a childhood accident above her right eye, but it isn't noticeable unless you look closely. She isn't very pretty, but this doesn't bother her.

Personality wise, she can be rather forward and outspoken. She likes to talk (a lot) and isn't shy or introverted at all. She will say exactly what she wants and thinks, something that has gotten her into trouble before. She also has a rather sharp sense of humor, and enjoys playing pranks on people.

She does have a temper, but it takes a lot to set it off. However, once it is set off, she doesn't back down easily. It's not unheard of for Kandori to fight duels, and Luna has challenged people to duels once or twice in her young life. However, she has never actually fought a duel, as her parents intervened and put a stop to it both times.

Biography

Luna was born the youngest of three children to a Kandori healer and a soldier at one of the Blight's many citadels. She wasquite close to both of her siblings growing up, especially her older brother Alev. Her sister- Kria- would become the reason she found herself at the Grey Tower.

As her mother was a healer, she did her best to interest all of her children in her craft. Kria wasn't interested, but Luna and her brother enjoyed the lessons. As a result, she found herself with an extensive knowledge of herbcraft and first aid.

However, as much as Luna liked learning about herbs, her father's sword interested her far more. He finally agreed to teachher how to use one, though he didn't have time to teach her much, given his duties in the Blight.

Not long after her fifteenth birthday, her sister left for the Grey Tower to train as a warder.Luna wanted to go as while,as warders had always fascinated her. Her parents considered Kria's choice an honorable one, but refused Luna, not wanting to lose more than one child to the Tower. Luna was hardly deterred. She argued and pushed until her parents finally agreed she could go, though they insisted she wait until she was a bit older.

The day she turned seventeen, Luna left south for the Grey Tower, eager to see what it had in store for her.Her father warned her that it was going to be a hard, dangerous life, not the exciting one all the tales mentioned, but she didn't listen, far too excited over the fact she was going to train as a warder.

However... things didn't go as planned.

Not long after she arrived in Hama Valon, she met two Aes Sedai who informed her she could channel. Luna didn't believe them. However, they insisted, claiming that though she didn't have the ability inborn, she could learn and needed to come to the GT to sign the novice book.

Luna refused. She wanted to be a warder, not a novice. She wasn't interested in being an Aes Sedai or channeling.

She protested and argued, but in the end, found herself outside the Mistress of Novice's office.

Not happy with turn, she decided to run away as soon as possible.
