Biography

A pair of great golden eyes watched from beyond a Gate, watched the Tower she missed so much. She'd packed, and prepared for this journey, and she was almost ready. She didn't know why she'd opened the Gate already. She wouldn't need it for weeks. As she stood looking on a hill overlooking the Citadel, she shivered, missing the warmth of the lover she left there.

She almost left then. But she wasn't ready yet. A note from a concerned Ajah buddy had brought her to this point. Suilela Sedai, one of the Indigo Representatives for the Hall of Justice, had written her, telling her of the hard work that Daimenin was putting himself through, and the dark circles under his eyes. Suilela also mentioned seeing a form, and light, moving in her old office. Lyn suspected it was Dai, though she could never prove it. She missed him dreadfully. He was as much a father to her as her own had been.

But it was a man with piercing eyes, and a commanding presence that drew her back to the Tower. One she missed with a passion.

She called out to one of her daughter's trusted advisors, who had been passing by. He stopped, and waved, blushing. He was young, but wise for his age, and had a slight crush on her daughter. Asking him to watch the Gate, she hurried into the stables and saddled her faithful mare, a beautiful Palamino with golden eyes.

On the way back to the Gate, she ran into Kiera, her daughter, and hugged her tightly, "I love you munchkin." She pulled away, and held her at arm's length. Tears pulled at her eyes, "I'm so proud of you. You look so much like your Daddy. Rule well, and write often, my darling." They hugged again, and cried a bit. Kiera had all but begged her to go, worrying over her mother like a hen over her chicks.

Calling Snap to her side, Lyn walked through the Gate, and waved a final farewell to her daughter and the Chief Advisor before closing the it, and heading down into the Citadel.
