Jenna al'Chan (born Jenna al'Majere) is a Manetheren Green Oathsworn Aes Sedai of the Grey Tower.

Description

I'm a tall girl with mid-back length hair and it has red streaks in it. I am very spontanious and my emotions control my actions more often then not. My eyes are of such a deep blue that you would think them black. I'm generally a good person but enjoys many mischievous things such as pranks. I enjoy arching my eyebrow at people because most can't do it. I have a small scar along the side of my face from protecting my brother.

Jenna no longer looked like the vibrant young woman she used to be. Now she is more of a mature looking, hard woman. Spots of her previous vibrancy some times shows through, usually when dealing with her children. Her hair is no longer a shock of red, it is more a silver with red streaks through it, looking rather like blood. Her blue eyes that usually laughed, and were merry, seemed like twin dull blue stones. She was still tall, still proud, but she seemed to be rather broken as well. Small lines had appeared at her eyes, and she didn't smile half as much, almost like the humour in her life had fled completely from it.

Biography

I was born on Midsummers day to my parents Chris al'Majere and Nancy al'Majere. My brother followed 3 years later. When I grew up things started to get strange. My chores never seemed to take as long and many a time I was switched for putting things off until the last minute. My father died in a hunting accident but I never believed in the tale. In truth as my mother got tired of telling me over and over again the lie told me the truth that he had been murdered. Then some how the bloody person who murdered my father also murdered my mother. I was 6 at the time. My brother was 3. Afraid that he would be taken from me, I did all the chores that I should have anyway and more. I washed and changed the little rascal and all he remembers of mother is her smiling face as he played happily in the yard. I dared not say anything to any one else. I was forced to lie to people who came to see my mother. I had to tell them she wasn't feeling well. And that's when things brightened. But just a little. The village Wisdom came to see mother and knew right away that she was not there. I was forced to stand and apologize to the whole town about how I had lied to all of them. By this time I was 15. My brother had become harder to manage. I could no longer afford to keep the house. I would sooner die then leave my brother by himself. He was all I had left. One day though he got himself into a fight he couldn't win. He was always doing that because he knew I would protect him. The fight was with a guy 3 times the size I was and even I had not challenged him. It was rumored that the last person to fight him had died of serious wounds. I did defeat him but not without coming out with the scar. My bloody woolhead of a brother was laughing so hard at the other person I slapped him so hard his head spun. I was furious at my flaming brother and I believe that was when my block went up. I switched him so hard I didn't even realize that I was doing it. It was then that one of the ladies came up and I didn't have a choice in the matter she made me stop. Before I knew what was happening she had sent me off to the Grey Tower and along with my brother we arrived here.

The darkness. How she longed to keep it. When she was covered in darkness, she didn't have to think, to feel. Her chest always felt hollow, always felt heavy. How could she deal with this except to be a coward? Angelique watched her mother, her little brother tugging on her pant leg, stating that he was hungry. “Of course little Mathais. Come along, we'll get you something to eat while Mommy sleep okay?”

“Angel, when's Mommy going to stay awake to play with me?”

“Soon hun. Soon.” I hope. Was the thought that she tacked onto the end of that. It was now five years after the attack on the Tower that had taken her father, and almost taken her mother. But Jenna al'Chan, nee al'Majere, was a fighter, and had been left, half buried in a grave, her heart still faintly beating. Oh yes, she had died. For all of thirty seconds. Her heart had gotten a kick start when Garren had dropped and then picked her back up. Jenna remembered the events before her death crystal clear, and when ever she woke up, she would have to deal with them.

Angelique had just done as she had been told, which had been to take her brother and run. Some where safe, which to her, was outside the Tower. Luckily enough, her mother had been found by a healer, who had also tried to find some thread of hope for Morad, but alas, no luck there. The healer had tended to Jenna for more then two years, finally getting her to wake up and she did not know where she was, or who she was. Sleep had claimed her shortly after that, and two more years passed before Angelique found her again. Mathais had been a handful but she had managed just fine. When Angelique had shown up, it had taken a couple days of talking to her mother, and jogging her memory to get her to remember them, and it had worked. Thankfully.

Five years had passed by this time and Angelique regretting that she hadn't been able to go back and tell Garren good-bye. After all, he had been the love of her life, and even though she was only a young woman now, 23 to be exact, she hadn't forgotten him, and doubted she would be able to. But she was left wondering, did he remember her, did he miss her? Setting Mathais in the chair with some food, she hears stirring in the other room, and walks to the door to see her mother, the vibrant beauty that had been there years ago just below the surface. On the surface the woman looked extremely tired, and defeated. Hollow even. “Mother?”

Jenna glanced up and saw Angelique though fuzzy eyes. “Angel? I didn't dream all this? It really happened? Morad, he's gone....I don't feel him anymore, and my heart, Angel, it hurts, so much....” the tears started to gather in her eyes and she let them fall as Angelique came over and wrapped her arms around her mother's frame. Jenna's face turned to her daughter's shoulder and her arms wrapped around her waist. Mathais came to the door of Jenna's room, and paused there, seeing his mother crying. “Mommy?”

Jenna's sobs quieted down, and she looked over at Mathais. “Mathais....My baby boy....” “I'm not a baby!! I'm 11!!” He said, sounding rather indignant, and like his father. Jenna held her arms out to him, and he ran to her, throwing his arms around her neck. “Now that your all better, you can help train me right Mommy? You were of the Green Ajah, and they're the battle Ajah right?”

Jenna looked surprised at his question, and knowledge. Taking a glance at Angelique, who gives her a smile, Jenna strokes her son's hair, and says, “Of course Mathais. I can start helping to train you, and retrain myself in the process.” she gives a smile when she heard her son's excited squeal. A loud rumble sounded out, and Jenna looked embarrassed. “Ah...That was me...”

“Mommy, you can have some of my food, hang on, I'll go get it!!” Mathais said, running off to get his apple slices that Angelique had given him for a snack. “I'm sorry Mother, he was asking who you were, and wanted to know everything, so I told him about all the stuff you told me.” She said, with a small apologetic smile on her face.

“It's okay Angel. Thank you, for taking care of him, and me.” A soft kiss was laid against the top of her head. It was time to face everything, and there was no better time like the present. It had been 5 years since she had 'left' the Tower, and now she was anxious to get back, but not before she gained back her strength and body. So the next 5 years saw her training her son, who was quickly growing into a young boy, and her daughter, who before the attack had shown signs of channeling, but had put it on hold, and let it flow around her as she cared for her mother and brother.

She had known enough not to get herself killed, and it had been fine. Jenna gave her basics, but knew she'd enter the Novice ranks the moment they got back. Jenna's sword hung from her hips as they started their trek back to the Tower. They had never truly been very far from it. It was only a two week walk, and they were jogging it the entire way. Endurance Training. The final leg of her endurance training. Plus running, really let her see what it was that she was missing in her life. Her heart told her that Morad was gone, and she had accepted that. But she was worried what seeing the tower would do to her acceptance. All the memories that her and her husband had shared. Oh well, it was time to face it, and reclaim her spot in the Green Ajah.
