Jassia Jadziabret is an Arafellin Accepted of the Grey Tower.

Biography

Jassia was born and raised in the town of Toniegh's River in southern Arafel, far enough from the blight border that her father and brothers were only rarely conscripted into the war against the Dark One. Her father was a boot maker, which set the Jadziabret family above the mainly beef cattle farming population of the town and surrounding territory. She lived for most of her life never believing that she would never be anything more than the wife of a cattle farmer or perhaps a wealthy blacksmith if she was lucky. However, in her early teens, she was told in passing by her mother that the Jadziabret family had not always been a part of the simple farmer's life. In fact, they had been minor nobility, until they fell out of favour through no-one's fault but their own.

Jassia, being the headstrong, arrogant girl that she remains today, left the village to protest her family's honour before the the lords of the capitol. Of course, because she had not learned all the facts of the situation, she was laughed down and left the city with a warning.

She never re-adjusted to life in the small town of Toniegh's River, and although she was a more than pretty girl with almost black hair and bright grey eyes that made up for her overlarge nose, she never pursued marriage like the other girls of her age.

Eventually, she left the village, with the vague idea of becoming a warder and bringing new honour to the name Jadziabret. She was quite shocked upon learning that she had the ability to channel.
