Freedom was something that Carraidhin craved, and the small step back into the Grey Tower left her feeling a little... bitter. Unsure of the reasons for it - the bond between her and Jaryd completely frayed - it didn't help her when she released those tethers and step away from the Tower to allow the Red Ajah to flourish. She was no leader. It was not in her capacity to lead. It was not what she felt was her purpose despite holding the roles she had held.

Carraidhin was also no follower, either. Following the rules and laws of the Tower were innate and as much part of her but even then she would bend them in the most literal of ways. It made her a cancer of the very thing she was being pushed to protect. Weaves as the Wheel Willed it. The threads pulled and tugged and the headaches were unbearable to the point she could no longer leave her room. A tug of her cloak, the filling of her satchel, and in the dead of night she simply left.

The world outside of the Grey Tower had changed greatly in her time since entering it. Not all was as it was, though the players differed greatly, the game was the same. The whispers of hostility were growing from those that had declared the Grey Tower a farce regardless of the years it had stood or the discoveries it had unearthed. And in seeking out these whispers, Carraidhin traveled. She poked her head casually into Tar Valon to visit her former place of living. A whore house that heard rumor after rumor. She traveled to Cairhien, sealing a few letters and slipping a few poisons into wine glasses of those that hunted her through her father's will. That a house burnt down was entirely coincidental though very convenient. She found a girl there who held potential and sent her onward to Hama Valon. Tar Valon was closer but this one she wanted to keep an eye on.

It was only Caemlyn that she avoided. There were whispers there too, but for personal reasons she avoided it.

Years passed and it was time to return to Hama Valon to see what seed she had sown. That, and the White Tower was no more and that required an explanation given who she heard had been in attendance. Just what the bloody ashes did Jaryd do this time?
