Lisandra walked to the now familiar Armory, the location she had been informed would be where she received her first pieces of information on the Bow. She wanted to help her Warder-to-be, Volsee, one day in battle and this was one of the ways she could be of assistance. At least this way, she could be of help in case she was ever in the situation where she couldn't channel, shivering at the thought of not being able to touch the wondrous female half of the Source.
She listened carefully to Lysira Gaidar's instructions, or the ones that were relayed through Jhered Gaidin, and signed the book when asked to. Thinking long and hard, she decided on the composite/recurve bow. She felt that it would fit her better, and be easier to string and draw back than the other. She had no wish to have muscles like that of her Warder-to-be, Volsee.

Lisandra looked over the bow she had chosen carefully, looking for any nicks or scraps that could prove dangerous. Thanking her common sense for activating, since it shouldn't be harder to string a composite bow than a longbow, she got started.
She had listened carefully to the instructions, and managed to string her bow after only her second try. She drew it to half strength, finding that was a little tough to do. Making a mental note to do some strength exercises later today, she exercised her muscles and the newly strung bow, making sure to not draw it all the way.

Lisandra walked to the assigned location of the next lesson in the bow, excited to learn more of her new weapon. She listened carefully to what was said, and took a moment to be aware of all around her. She took a deep breath, and calmed herself to be able to see all. It didn't take the One Power to have a greater ability to focus, it simply took control over one's mind.

Lisandra took her moment as asked, and then listened attentively to the next instructions given. There was a lot of information presented, but hopefully she would manage to not kill herself or someone else with an arrow.
She stood as instructed, making sure to mimic Lysira Gaidar's movements as best she could, as she was right handed. She did a practice draw, making sure her arm wasn't in the way. She didn't want to get hit with the string when she fired an arrow, after all!
She listened further, and was excited to hear that they would be firing arrows today! She knew that her aim would be poor, but practice makes perfect! It took her a while to feel comfortable in the stance, and to draw the composite bow not too little and not too much, but she managed. Her aim was indeed off, and she didn't manage to hit the target at all. She didn't hurt herself or anyone else though, and that was progress!

Lisandra closely to her instructor's directions, hoping that this time she would be able to hit the target! She stood at the ready, and practiced just loosing for a couple of arrows, just to warm herself back up. Once that was finished, she thought hard on Lysira Gaidar's instructions, and aimed her bow as she drew, lowering it accordingly. It hit the target!
Resisting the urge to jump up and down like a child, she maintained her composure and finished the exercise with the rest of her quiver. Yay for learning something new!
