Biography

In his youth, the boy was just a troublemaker, someone to blame for the world's problems. Many of the false Dragons were blamed on him, though he could never see how. People always pointed and jeered at him until one day, something out of a story really did happen: he went to sleep one night, holding his favorite toy (little did he know it was an angreal) and wishing everyone ever mean to him would start acting better towards him. The next day they praised him, instead of throwing stones or calling names that should never fall on a child's ears, they gave him gifts, told him he was better than the rest of the children in the neighborhood. Not knowing what to make of this, he ran away from home the next week after a friend was nearly promised to him. He could not settle with this new change. And no matter how hard he wished, he could not change them back.

In his efforts to find a new place to call home, he happened upon Tear. After a few days time, gained a job as a stableboy to a lord and training from one of his guards. He was taught something of the sword, not much, but enough to be considered for training to be a Defender of the Stone.

After a few years training, he became a Defender and on that first night, was assigned to the walls near an entrance to the Heart of the Stone. His first night on the job and he failed. Al'Thor came and took the Sword That Cannot Be Touched from the air, only the first night on the job.

When the Trollocs and Halfmen came and invaded the Stone, he helped kill many of them, managing an assortment of cuts and bruises. Three in his left arm, one in his right, and a few near his stomach, glancing cuts that bled more than really hurt. After Moiraine Sedai Healed him, there was nothing holding him to the Stone any longer.

When the first Asha'man came to his village, he fled, fearing men channeling the One Power, running because he knew he had to. Now he has come to understand what it is he has feared even more than the Asha'man, the fact that he had been born with the gift to channel. Now, with the Dragon Reborn come to break the world anew, there is nothing to fear that isn't trivial compared to that. Now he fears what he might accidentally do if left untaught with the One Power. And the toy he still has clung to him from his childhood.
