Aviaine Chaimere is an Andoran Blue Oathsworn Aes Sedai of the Grey Tower.
Description
Aviaine is 5'7 with chestnut brown hair and big brown eyes. She is very ambitious, always focusing on attaining the next level of authority in whatever she is involved. She is dedicated to her family and intent on restoring her family's living situation, the destruction of which she believes is solely her doing. She is very loyal, quick to defend her family and friends from any perceived slight. She has a deep love for knowledge, delighting in a night spent by a cozy fire with a good book. She has a strong sense of justice, believing that fairness and kindness are essential to the progress of mankind. Aviaine is a forthright person, very blunt in speech and action...she doesn't sidestep the question, she will face it head on.
Biography
Aviaine Chaimere is the only child of Reina and Staevon, farmers who own a generous-sized piece of land on the outskirts of Caemlyn.
When she was younger, she used to ride with her father to the markets inside the city of Caemlyn where he peddled fresh, farm-grown vegetables and sides of meat while she was allowed to roam as she pleased. Aviaine loved to wander about the palace walls, catching a glimpse of the nobles and imagining herself being allowed beyond the barrier.
One day when she was seventeen her attention was diverted by a Taraboner requesting directions and Aviaine was kidnapped by a dark Arafellin, the bells in his hair jingling as she was bound, gagged, and swept into a cart. Aviaine remained in the basement of an inn, The Merry Gleeman, for three months until the ransom between her kidnapper and her father had been negotiated and Aviaine was set free.
The high ransom crippled Aviaine's family, iniating a downward spiral resulting in the sale of the farm and a constant search for food and shelter. Aviaine, overwhelmed with feelings of guilt and anger, decided to travel to Elman's Creek in hopes of becoming an Aes Sedai, the only way a woman of her social status could gain the power to save her family.
She believes she has the potential to become one of these renowned channelers...ever since she was little, Aviaine has had dreams which, occassionally, have described or warned of an event about to happen. After reading a book, The Lost Talents of the Aes Sedai, Aviaine suspects that she has the Talent of Dreaming. This, also, adds to her guilt about her family's situation; she thinks that, if she were able to better control this ability, she would have been able to prevent her kidnapping.
Aviaine's ambition is to become the Aes Sedai advisor to the queen of Andor, thus rectifying her family's living situation and empowering her with the authority to gain her heart's desire, to enter the palace walls.
